Important website goals include supplying the public with timely information related to the Home Inspection process and providing an easy to use search method to locate competent and qualified inspectors in your area. Buying a home is likely the largest single investment you’ll ever make and usually requires not only a major financial investment, but a good deal of your time. Concerns regarding property condition are well founded, making the selection of a home inspector extremely important. Most homebuyers are aware of the need for an inspection, however, few are informed as to what constitutes adequate inspection experience and/or training, and even more challenging is determining who in your area will do the most competent job. After searching your area, simply click on the “view” button next to an inspector’s name to get information on their qualifications and credentials. Many home inspectors will furnish references or copies of sample reports upon request. Impartial experts often recommend a buyer first narrow their prospective inspectors on the basis of qualifications and references, then availability, and lastly on fee charged. Like with brain surgery, fast and cheap are probably not what you’re looking for.
